Then, the woman left her water jar and went back to the city. She said to the people, "Come and see a man who told me everything I have ever done! He cannot be the Messiah, can he?" They left the city and were on their way to him. John 4:28-30

These verses are of the Samaritan woman who shares her excitement, awe, and maybe a bit of fear with others with her newfound knowledge of Jesus. This story gives me goosebumps as I think of her excitement running away, leaving her water jar so that she can explain to others what she witnessed. What a thought!!

I would love to see more of this same action today, but instead, I fear the following that a friend shared with me is the norm, and I pray it is not.

Grandpa: “Church is essential.”
Dad: “Church is optional”
Son: “Church is unnecessary.”
Grandson: “Jesus who?”

I realize the sharing of Christ is taught in the Bible and involves both internal transformation and outward action. Sharing the love of Christ involves not only knowing about God's love but also living out that love in our daily interactions and sharing the good news with others.
The most awesome thing is that we all have a voice. We all have a story of how the Holy Spirit, Jesus, or God, has moved us in some way, shape, or form. Use that voice to share with others; I would love to hear your responses.
